Tote bag made from 100% recycled materials: 50% comes from fishing nets and 50% from recycled PET. “Ghost” nets—those lost or abandoned at sea—take 400 to 600 years to break down in saltwater. Every year, 300,000 marine mammals die, trapped in these nets. The recovery of these nets can be done manually and takes place in the least developed regions. But we can also buy used nets from fishermen before they are thrown back into the sea (nets are replaced every 4 to 6 years). That is the goal of this product line. This bag features a zippered front pocket and double handles for two carrying options. Drawstring closure designed like a real sailor’s knot. Comes in a blue non-woven pouch.
